I wonder, just how many of us managed to successfully take advantage of the Browns Books price? Who else struck lucky, or was it just the four of us?

My one has been dispatched! Due to arrive early January.

I watched the Official Unboxing Video. It's like CD porn!

My set arrived a couple of days ago after two bum arrival dates - exigencies of Christmas postal services between Hull
and York! Discs checked and a couple sampled with pleasure. Superbly designed boxset but hopelessly unwieldy.
Nevertheless a real bargain to match the Complete Mozart last year.

Just wait until get the real thing - it's even better. Have you sorted a location for it yet - I'm fortunate in having a cabinet just the right height to be able to access it from both sides. I raise a Christmas glass to Brown's Books!

but another way of looking at it (I am super-excellent at post-hoc justifications... ) perhaps this was providential good luck - cos - a) I'm not a big karajan fan b) I have a lot of karajan which this wd duplicate c) space is at a premium d) with the funds released by not getting this I can get a lot of (more interesting) stuff...

                My one has arrived!

I felt like Howard Carter when I was opening the box!

                Many thanks, ts.

                      Britten.

                      collectors edition box set.

Heading this way from Germany for £21 new.
Dont think there are any more available at this price though.

Padding out my Bernstein conducts Bernstein CDs (without buying a whole new box set with so many duplications) with this early version of the Serenade, with Stern as the soloist, and the Symphony of the air, coupled with the Dutilleux 'concerto':

Just ordered the 2CD C20 organ music set that includes the Hindemith organ sonatas, played by Simon Preston. I used to have the Lionel Rogg Oryx LP, and am looking forward to hearing Preston's recording. It will be good to be reacquainted with the other pieces now reissued that come from the compilation I used to have on LP, including Britten, Tippett, and Leighton.

Looking forward to receiving this Brilliant Classics Box which appears to be the most wide ranging collection available of W.F. Bach's music, about which I know very little.

There is what looks like a full MP3 download for £8 as well.
