I am waiting for a considerable consignment of electronic music by Jean-Claude Eloy.
Glad you asked Beefy seems to have been banging on about him (them) for weeks and I've not got round to checking them out.

I think Lady Hillingdon might have had something to say on the subject back in 1912.

Don't think so. They were just regular cassettes. Long time ago now

                Hello there,

I'm looking forward to a visit to Forsyths in Manchester this coming first week of July where I'll take delivery of the Nelsons' DVD of the 50th Anniversary performance of War Requiem and also Elder and the Halle's reading of Mahler 9...

It'll be well worth the trip from Nanjing...

                Best Wishes,

                Tevot

                  Bossanova !?

I prefer the Hokey Cokey myself

But many thanks for your advocacy Beefy...

Listening to / Watching now Laibach's "Volk" on Youtube.

Standouts so far ... Russia, France, Italy and Japan...

The male vocal reminds me oddly of Front 242...

If I recover after this listening, I shall return to P J Harvey's "Let England Shake " - particularly after last week's result

                  Best Wishes,

                  Tevot

                    Carl Nielsen - Symphonies 1-6
Royal Danish Orchestra, Paavo Berglund. RCA Red Seal, super budget price. (I pre-ordered it at £7.99 with free P&P on Amazon, but it seems to have gone up to £8.99. Still tremendous value).

The Celibidache French and Russian box set, which was available for a nano second at just over a tenner.
Looking forward to this a lot.

Fantastic! I've really been getting into 'Celi's' recordings. Quite intriguing.
