Birthday in about 3 weeks. Everyone annoyed with me because I cannot think of a suitable present. I CAN ! £10, OOO for a beautiful bass viol would be very acceptable - alas, they think I 'm joking. This arrived yesterday. Glorious music!

And for some strange reason, I find the music very modern sounding.

Faves so far are the magnificat, organ concertos/sonatas and the double concerto for harpsichord, fortepiano and orchestra Wq 47. Haven't played everything yet!
