Above mentions (and others) came from Music Magpie and The Polar Bear via Amazon - great sellers who often deliver the goods in better condition than described... ....
but Renew Entertainment (fulfilled by Amazon) did great too - 2ndhand but with new CD cases and shrink-wrap (like the Parisian La Chaumière).

I agree with you Jayne about Magpie and Polar Bear, though I've had the odd blip with Magpie, on condition or descrption, but always sorted out quickly.

Anybody who can't wait, it's available on Amazon at £81.80 & FREE Delivery in the UK. Not such a bad price at £2.48 per CD.

Has anyone challenged Amacon on this point? I.e. That you can buy it for £80 ish but not the £11 once advertised? Do they just claim they don't have a supply at the cheaper price? Granted, sale of goods law is a bit of a minefield. Dull, and biased to the seller

I once challenged Amazon about the price of something. The quickly replied and sent me a refund of the difference. I was very impressed! I can't remember what it was though.

Well - those of us who ordered at the time are getting the set for the original price (I hope!). They didn't have enough (?any?) in supply to meet the demand, which is why we've been waiting - but now the stock is (seems to be) coming in, new customers are getting charged the "properer" price. This is always how Amazon works - you can get incredible bargains if you're quick - but the price can, and does, go up overnight if demand shows up. If you're quick, the bias is towards the buyer (especially on those "mispriced" items where somebody's put the decimal point in the wrong place).

I am reminded of Janacek's revised statement re his atheism/agnosticism, "Not yet. Not just yet. Until I see for myself".

It's available instantly at full price but we have to wait for, what, cheaper stock? Also from Amazon.....we should be served first. Call me old-fashioned but I smell a rat.....
