    Happy Birthday Mozart

    Haven't seen anything here so far, so here goes.

    Happy Birthday W. A. Mozart.

    For one who gave us such a wealth of music how sad your end was.

    Gone, but NOT FORGOTTEN

      There's Mozart up there, and the rest down here, as far as I'm concerned. A day without some Mozart is a lost day.

        I think we're all still hungover from last year's birthday bash.

          Though it came before his birthday and was no particular anniversary.

          Yes, today is the feast of St John Chrysostom, and the 256th birthday of "Joannes Chrysostomus Sigismundus Wolfgang Gottlieb Mozart" [Anderson p. 351]. Much gratitude!
          It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

            I was born 200 years, plus a week and a bit after him.

                    Many happy returns to all the birthday boys! My late father always celebrated WAM's birthday because Mozart was his favorite composer. I can't think of Mozart without thinking of my dad.

                          Someone might have a go at this, though the original melody is still in copyright.

                            He's very important to many people. Not bad WAM, at 256 {EOE}

                              I've been listening to a lot of John Ogdon's playing recently

                              Here he is, playing some Mozart and thus staying OT
