... and best wishes to all Boarders and Boardees, today being the Winter Solstice (I think this morning at 11.22 hrs ) -

I hope libations and other junketings are in order.

Here it was a cheapo Freixenet cava - saving the better stuff for next week...

But celebrate - the world didn't come to an end ( ) - more importantly, the days now get longer...

Celebrating with the annual gas leak and two vans worth of blokes digging a hole in the pavement. The one they always dig when there is a gas leak. Anticipated working time based on historical evidence - 6 hours. They will have mugs of tea from here if they are still there at 5pm. Wow. We may even have red and white street decorations until the New Year. Longer days are welcome. Fewer hangovers from heavy atmospheres that have nothing to do with alcohol. Less itching. Less TMJ. Not as much hibernation.

Thank you for asking. Yes, periodically for 20 years. Not a huge issue when manageable, as it is generally, but very occasionally it can be like migraine. The worst of these things is not knowing. I know what it is and it is trivial compared with others' ailments.

Thank goodness for longer days as I hate the dark more than the cold. Like the great Doris Day I am a daylight person and have to fight the inclination to retire to bed at 4pm every day atmand stay there until 8am next day.

With an exceptionally old Chartreuse chaser, I hope?

Hivernal greetings to one and all
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes but a skillful tailor can all but conceal it...

Just tried to google it but looked no further than the fifth reference 'fibreglass body with reinforcing member'.
