What's wrong with it? Not exciting, I agree - but then neither is Mr Dave's - but perfectly suitable for the job & allows her, & us, to concentrate on more important things. (I've only seen pictures of her in her work clothes - perhaps you've seen her in her more relaxed moments?)

Was this Andrew Sullivan by any chance Mandy? He now sports a full beard. You can read him each week in the Sunday Times.

          .
          what re-election ?
          I though that

In the last few weeks, Mitt Romney has manage to overcome several handicaps (the least of which is probably his own ridiculous first name) to emerge as the USA's next Chief Executive.
          so certain
          so wrong ............

Yesterday, I saw two Americans - one a 'socialist' senator from Vermont and a blogger for something call the Daily Beast - talking about how significant it all was, although the 'socialist' (the inverted commas are mine) was mildly critical.

They seem blind to the fact that basically Obama is about as left-wing as a moderate British Tory MP. So, all they can properly 'celebrate' is what has been avoided.
You are getting a bit desperate, aren't you? Having been proved absolutely wrong on your 'Mitt Romney the next president' thread (& then trying to persuade us that you didn't really mean it) you now protest that Obama isn't really 'left'; but it's the context, which you don't seem to have noticed - in mainstream USA politics he is left-wing.
