if it was a school bus, it would have been carrying young people

                  Then I must abide:

                  Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 "Jeunehomme" in E flat major, K. 271

But I do not know about the music foundation and my guests have just arrived.

                  Best wishes, mercia

                    fleeting guilty visit

                    271 referred to Mozart K 271 "Jeunehomme"
The Psalm settings in 1598 were by Le Jeune
Jeune France was founded in 1936 by Jolivet

I'll get on with K now and be back soon.

if you're busy with guests, don't worry about this, it's only a game

                        What K links:

                        - a moorland in Derbyshire
                        - a chocolate bar
                        - a setting of poems by one whose two children had died of scarlet fever

I leave it for you to adjudicate together. Should be back on Friday.

It has been an enjoyable week even though it turned out a bit exhausting yesterday. I must try to to be less enthusiastic.
                        Best wishes to everyone.

You're really making up for lost time... No adjudication required. You'll be working on your L even as I type, one assumes?

Well, I was naively hoping Don was going to interrupt his social program to wave the chequered flag, but I guess Caliban has given the green light instead.

What L-usively connects a Gershwin song, a Shostakovitch symphony and a Liszt transcription?

Don's green light is on but he is rightly devoting himself to his visitors... I imagine some furtive consulting of the screen at odd moments I'm sure he'll approve of us getting on with it.

Come on, Tapiola!!!!! A Shostakovich clue!
