Fantastic work against the odds, mercia, sorry about your internet woes... If it is MT (Janice - Janis ), I remember they had a song called Chanson d'Amour...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

EDIT - I think there may be a Janis and Tim in Manhattan Transfer

EDIT EDIT - I have a horribly slow connection today, making playing this game almost impossible
Thank you for correcting my spelling, yes it is Mantran who sang...

No problem, spelling mistakes make googling even more challenging!

how was Ravel being cosmopolitan ?

I assume that was Franz Haydn with his Midi symphony

I think we need at least a dollop of Coleslaw, Cloughie

For you Cali and all the Anna thing.

                    Chanson (merc)

Elgar: Chanson de Matin, Chanson de Nuit but to my knowledge no Chanson de Noon (ou Midi) (merc)
Manhattan Transfer whose cool voices include Janis Siegel and Tim Hauser: Chanson d'amour (ratatatatat) (cali)
Maurice Ravel: Chanson Ecossaise, Chanson Espagnole, Chanson Francaise, Chanson Hebraique, Chanson Italienne...(merc)

Thanks. Bloody good question (apart perhaps from the misspelling misdirection !! )

Seems easy when you know the answer!

And great performance by a wiki-free mercs
