First thought was that this might be a seasonal puzzle about saints - patron saints, often of disparate groups like silversmiths, troubadours and weavers... But the latter have St Maurice, troubadours have Saint Philippe NĂ©ri... so I have abandoned the thought...

Rest beckons, in a delightful autumnal Paris - clear skies, soft sunshine today.

Bonne Toussaint! (Not sure if I will have time to make a pilgrimage to visit Chopin, Poulenc and the others at Père Lachaise tomorrow before my early evening Eurostar... We'll see...)

Gosh, I'm going to Paris on Friday for the weekend. I'll keep my eyes open for you. Are you staying at the George V too?

              Paul Revere was a silversmith...

anything to do with these weavers ? I doubt it

on one page wikipedia tells me that Benvenuto Cellini was a silversmith, but on another insists he was a goldsmith

                Romance ? is R a composer ? René(s) ?

                I shall stop guessing

having got around to searching, I can't actually find Quartetto Italiano as a previous answer

three different viola players explains the discrepancy

are they Huguenot weavers particularly ?

I wonder if the father of Swedish music is involved as he was in vinteuil's February 2011 question

... no Swedish music involved this time!

the weavers were thirteenth century, and they were women.

The French art nouveau work dates from the fourteenth century...

before I tie myself in [weaver's] knots, is the R word Roman as in Berlioz's Roman Carnival Overture using themes from Benvenuto Cellini ?

or perhaps I should say romain

                              yes indeed

So we now need 13th century and 14th century Romans...

                              (,,, and they're both French.)
