Not a concerto, mercs - a sinister transcription of one several of Fred's solo pieces

      Piano is correct

Indeed Norths but this Leo is better known for his work on the piano and Leo is a diminutive of his first name

22 Studies on Chopin's Etudes by Leopold Godowsky, some are left-hand only
              recorded by Ivan Ilic

perhaps Ivan has only recorded the left-hand ones

beg pardon, 22 of the 53 are for left hand

Blimey, good stuff, mercs I was nowhere.

Did you listen to the "L" for Left-hand segment of the ongoing A-Z of the piano, Ammy? (I'm catching up with the podcasts - Ivan Ilic was featured, and his 'insane' left-hand undertaking re Godowsky...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I'm enjoying the piano festival I must say, Caliban but I'm taking it at my own pace (something some of our fellow boarders don't seem to be able to grasp )

If you go to Ilic's website you'll find links to radio interviews he's done in French too

I was surprised too mercs. Mind you all those glowering/smouldering photos of him on the website appear to be heavily posed cos he's nothing like that once he gets going, if you see what I mean

I have to be away by 18:30 so let's get this sorted.

someone who finished something that Roger started
                              - Roger started something in 1969 which someone called Ivan finished in 1989. More accurately, Ivan was in at the finish, and it (the something) was named after a county to the East of London

Oh I thought we'd finished and the answer was Ivan... no?

Mind you, been a bit busy having a pillow fight in the dorm with vinmousseux
