... and is this the best "K"-letter answer we've ever had to find?!
Probably the longest K word, at any rate.
Go on Ferney - you've got it (as have I, thanks to you)
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Sunday afternoon application of Anna's Law please ferns
(RM: Anna's Law was 'enacted' following an appeal by Anna that at the end of each puzzle, either setter or solver (aka settee ) should summarise all the elements in one place so the stragglers like me can at least be somewhat the wiser at the end
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
What a good job James Naughtie doesn't have to say that
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Well, I only got here (if it's correct - I'm half-hoping RM will say it's not! ) by googling "Reggio, Fricke" and this was the only answer that came up!
Anyone think of any clues leading to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysyliog ogogoch?

Edit: And to answer the Welsh connection posed by ferney (possibly not) Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay will present for the first time in the UK the complete groundbreaking and inspiring trilogy KOYAANISQATSI โ Life Out of Balance, POWAQQATSI โ Life in Transformation and NAQOYQATSI - Life as War, which has never before been seen in the UK. The films will be shown on a specifically constructed screen in the Donald Gordon Theatre while composer Philip Glass and his ensemble will perform live musical accompaniment from the stage under conductor Michael Riesman. The resulting spectacular - QATSI TRILOGY LIVE - is a musical and cinematic experience that has had a profound effect on audiences worldwide, and promises to be one of the leading arts events of the year.
So, this proves we do have Culture in Wales!! And do not merely munch leeks and talk to Rooks whilst aimlessly poking people with burnt sticks.
Well done, all. Indeed that was the K I was looking for. It was produced by Godfrey Reggio with music composed by Philip Glass and cinematography by Ron Fricke.
we ... do not merely munch leeks and talk to Rooks whilst aimlessly poking people with burnt sticks.
I'd never thought or heard that of the Welsh before, but now it is an indelible impression
"...the isle is full of noises,

Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
