Something not very inspired and probably way too easy to tide us over: Lucretia in Suffolk and Papagena in Sussex meet a religious lady - what's the N?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

There's a singer called Mary Nelson who has sung Lucia (in Lucretia), Papagena and Ja Nun Hons Pris.....(which could be the religious lady?)

just wasted half an hour looking for someone who has sung both roles, forgetting that one is for contralto the other soprano
wikipedia tells me there was an American soprano named Bishop who had sung Lucia and Papagena but not in England and not an N in sight [except New York]
so we're looking for particular productions at those locations ?

Oh dear I'm sorry it's proving tricky! But you have learnt many interesting things, no?

I could give you a Major clue if you like...

oh yes, it's only my stupidity that wastes my time

I think you're leading us to Norma, daughter of a priestess [I don't know my Bellini]
                  will investigate further

Procter [Lucretia] - 1958 Aldeburgh Festival
                  Burrowes [Papagena] - 1970 ?

                  thanks for the huge hint

                    There you go

The hint was a little obvious - maybe I should just have said Aldeburgh 1958 and Glyndebourne 1970?

Anyhow, you have acquired yourself a shining, bouncy new O !

(btw I don't know my Bellini either, in fact I'd go so far as saying I deliberately steer clear - but I found out Norma of the title was a priestess... not just the daughter of one. But who cares!

A 'P' to link: a Roman emperor, an environmentalist, an archangel and a cakemaker's elder brother.

The cakemaker was once engaged to a famous Liverpudlian.
