Three generations of T, all bound together by a buffalo boy
T One, present at Dostoesvsky’s deathbed, conducted Diaghilev’s ballets and operas and when the Ballets Russes was invited to give a gala performance in London in 1911 commemorating the coronation of George V, a ballet by him and starring Nijinsky was selected as the vehicle.
T Two composed a Georgian rhapsody and his second symphony was premiered by Kubelik
After studies with Pierre and Karlheinz, T Three assisted with the electronic and taped portions of Leon Kirchner’s unfinished work Lily
What T is this? - and can you solve the buffalo boy connection?
Looks like the sort of thing that used to make one go when turning over a Maths exam paper!!!!
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
Buffalo Boy's Flute by Heh Liuting won first prize in the landmark Chinese
composers' competition sponsored by Alexander Tcherepnin in Shanghai in
1934.

And it is used as the logo of The Tcherepnin Society
I love her series about ordinary life in ancient Rome
