As in par eux-mêmes, then add a J to that? Or, bung in the letter 'a' and voila, it's water! Actually, take no notice, this doesn't make much sense, perhaps a clue - are all elements musical?

Yes they are and I feel you should stay in the game.

Oh that's very good... Smacking my forehead here. Tidy puzzle, tidy answer
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

And yet again, at 14:24, for the second time in days I handed it to youi guys on a plate! The J in front of eux-mêmes? I just point that out to prove that I, at least, are keeping up at the back! Actually, I held back because I thought Flay was going to go for it. How was Glasgow Flay, a City I have never visited.

I just think you held back because you didn't want to service a K!

When did you last set a letter, Anna?

Oh, quite a few weeks back cloughie but I've been away a lot over the past few weeks dealing with family situations and therefore loss of online access plus a virus. No, I'm not complaining, happy to be one of the backroom boys for a while .... I find this thread great fun even if I may only lob in the occasional suggestion at the moment.

... well, it might be a hart, but I'm not sure whether here it is particularly in pant mode. It is not, if that is what your were thinking, a biblical hart that pants...

EDIT - viz, not Psalm 42 or Handel...
