Shall we wait for cloughie or should somebody else set an 'S', do you think?
(I have one ready, but it can keep...)

While I wouldn't be so arrogant as to suggest that silence implies consent, I diffidently offer a question for your consideration:
Which 'S' suggests that Vivaldi was twice as industrious as Handel and Albinoni?

No - although it has something in common with the Vivaldi part of the answer.

No, the link isn't strings, although they feature in all of the works concerned.

Tis a toughy worthy of Cloughie, norfs !!!

Admittedly I have been thinking about it while distracted by the Corrie omni. Great line from Norris in reponse to the idea that the murder of Frank was a 'romantic gesture' by Peter:

"I imagine Frank Foster would have preferred it if he'd given Carla a box of Black Magic"

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I shall return at half-time in the Wales v France match, and offer a clue at that time if one is felt necessary.

I just loved his line about 'two horns on the same goat'. Lady Norfolk and I have come to different conclusions regarding the name of the perpetrator. (We're probably both wrong! )

Here's a cluelet for those not watching the Rugby or otherwise engaged:
                            A bunch of fertile geese;
Another bunch of fertile geese; and
                            A bunch of percussionists
                            (Back at half-time!)

                              six geese a-laying
                              twelve drummers drumming

well some of Vivaldi's works are in sets of 12, but so are Albinoni's

True, but in one case Vivaldi could be said to have doubled the others' output. Woodwind features in one instance, a keyboard instrument in another, and in the third instance it's a stringed instrument in all but two works.
