I might have added Ligeti, Peter Gabriel and/or Tabea Zimmermann. But it was something Kremer was first at.

Awarded every year since 1982, the 15,000 Euro prize is alternately bestowed upon Classical and Popular Musicians, so Brian Eno, Georg Solti, Alfred Brendel and Chick Corea are all recipients. 2002 was a fallow year for Music, it seems: the Prize wasn't awarded that year!

Gee whiz, cloughie, it's a dead cert that the Gee-Gee is yours!

Phew great chipping away there, Mr Clough ...I was nowhere.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

An interesting answer. It would be good to see a list of all the winners.
