I can't get near this. Time for a clue of the "bleedin' obvious" variety, I think, ferney!
PS cross posting! Ferney: we're just SO on the same wavelength!!"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Well, we're almost there: The "Connection" is Bartolomeo/Bartholemew.
Eric Bartholomew (the birth name of Mr Morrey-Camby)
Bartolomeo Cristoferi, whose invention "Harp-Harpsichord with Soft and Strong" became widely known as the Piano, and has had a very very long life.
... so if somebody would care to google "Bartolomeo" and "practical Music" ... ?Numquam Satis!
