or is the Louis, Louis Armstrong?

Oh dear cloughie, I was merely being lighthearted, no offence meant, mea culpa for my odd sense of humour ...... Didn't mean to transgress.

I think everyone on AA asks everyone else occasionally what they're on about, don't they?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

What are you on about, asking that sort of question?

Usually the question is - what ARE you ON!

Any good offers at the Co-Op these days?

No problem, all in a day's banter. By the way I don't think fishermen were mentioned, perhaps Cornwall gets you in the mould of 'When I sing of Cornwall, it's one way to begin to tell the story of the men, of copper, fish and tin....'

Oh Yes. Black Pudding! Well, there is a Shiraz Malbec, probably rubbish at that price?
I am still contemplating subcontra's and it must be Couperin as the only Denis, Denis, I came up with was Blondie!

cloughie, all my family, all sides, originated in Cornwall, making their way up through Devon, slight deviation in Bristol, and London, then all into Wales. My Welsh were miners, my gg grandpa, one of the last ostlers looking after the pit ponies. Oh, kiss and make up! <smooch> Gosh, I feel better after that!
I had not realised Ash Wednesday is 22 February. It comes around so quickly. That means no booze, chocolate, biscuits, cakes, good times. But at the end of 40 days one feels so cleansed. I think.

There seems to loads of interesting digression on here but no sign of a V.

I think we are waiting for someone to tease out the details of the U question first.
