I like to tease rather than challenge...

Think about Anna's interjection. (Sings) Hooray for.... (pom-pom-pom)!

      Hollywood!

Frank Lloyd Wright designed Hollywood Bowl where Lily Pons sang the above song and the Beatles played etc.

I can't set an I as I have an imminent work-related assignation with Caliban, as referred to above, so may we leave it to you to carry on. Cloughie, you're in charge. Class dismissed...

I return to my desk from an intense but pleasurable brainstorming session with Caliban (and other notable luminaries) to see nothing has been done in my absence. You're all very polite, or lazy, or watching something good on telly...

Here is a quick I which I expect will be answered by the time I have cycled my weary way home:

What I connects symphonic Yaqui, a Monteverdi rival and an imperial entertainment?

Carlos Chávez: Symphony No. 2 ("Sinfonía india") uses Yaqui indian themes.

              Sigismondo d'India, contemporary of Monteverdi

Sir Edward Elgar: The Crown of India, imperial masque for alto, bass, chorus and orchestra, Op.66

                        Blimey, been quiet round here!

                        Re: Hollywood Bowl

You're right of course but I was thinking slightly differently about:

Lily: don't know if she sang 'Hooray for Hollywood', but I was thinking of her landmark appearance at the Bowl when the all-time record for attendance was set - 26,410 people

Beatles: they didn't just sing there, there is an album called 'Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl' http://www.amazon.co.uk/AT-HOLLYWOOD...9433827&sr=8-1

I had Jardín de Oriente by Turina, but I am not going to quibble. K is yours.

This K may softly blow your mind, but would Norman stop the music for it?

Two verbs: present and past, and a noun

I will be pondering this in my sleeping sub-conscious...

                                And so to bed.
