Both Rossini and Dvorak wrote works called Ot(h)ello, who was the Moor of Venice, and a feature in this morning's BaL.

            Ravel?

o, good man: yes - Moor as in the Moor of Venice, Dvořák's overture Othello and Rossini's opera Otello...

Now, for Ravel, that accent, that instrument....

                        yes indeedy!

as wiki says - "Maurice Ravel said that the Emánuel Moór Pianoforte produced the sounds he had really intended in some of his works, if only it had been possible to write them for two hands playing on a standard piano"

Congrats to the Ferneyhiccup - who will now be happy to N-courage us further...

No: the accent over the "o" goes the other way, but I can't find the ALT code for it!
