so what's on the menu tonight Anna-of-a-thousand-dishes?

do you believe what they're saying today about processed meat?
A simple veg dish, but I do believe what they are saying about processed meat because of the preservatives in it. Better to gnaw upon an organic steak or leg of lamb or pork than something stuffed full of preservatives. However, if all in the UK could stop buying cheap pig meat from those countries who do not abide by the EU Regs (ie Poland which is flooding the EU with pig meat raised most inhumanely, conditions you would not believe, and if we, in the UK, went back to old curing methods and not injecting water and chemicals ..........

I was about to write: well it can't be Richard...

His last work chronologically I think were the Four Last Songs, although other pieces like the song 'Malven' or the choral work "Bestimmung' emerged later, and I can't see a 'Frankie' connection!

              Time for a coffee...

              Neat puzzle Mr Mercs.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

There is an unfinished Strauss singspiel: The Donkey's Shadow. Any use?
