      good on yer, mercia!

George.. ah... Anna will be glad, unless she's constructing a fiendish U as we speak...

Now... I only know the Urgan Symphony and the Ugyptian piano concerto...

I think I'd better think it out again

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes and no... do, re, mi... &c. &c. Also, in French, the Organ Symphony is 'en Ut mineur' (C minor). Has that got something to do with it ?

indeed. I suppose I ought to watch Sherlock since everyone's so enthusiastic about it. Instead I'm listening to your friend (?) Roger Allam on Radio 3.

Not a friend, I just rate him highly {EDIT: just looked up what he's doing on R3... playing Montaigne, I see. Any good? I have a mental block with radio drama, usually.... )

Watch Sherlock later thanks to the marvels of technology. That's what I'll be doing

A gorgeous youngster on a mountain said "Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker" but more relevant if it only costs Threepence...

Which V unites the three pieces of musical theatre referred to above?
