I was thinking on the lines:
Tan Dun: A World Symphony for the Millennium
the Gei Tan, a sort of Chinese planetarium
Tansy Davies (various works for large orchestra: Wild Card, Tilting, Rift, Streamline)
... and Wan Tan? (Didn't quite get the veg medley!)

I'm touched you had a giggle at my '99' technique
As regards the vegetable medley, if it's not a macedoine or a mirepoix, I'm all at sea...
If it's Tan, how does that fit with the veggie theme I wonder.... And what about Melvyn and his amazing performing Tan at the fortepiano??"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

All I have come up with is Villa-Lobos Alegria na Horta, Joy in the Vegetable Garden, which put me in mind of Marie Lloyd who sits among the cauliflowers and peas! No, for the moment, I am lost on this.
Edit: Flash of inspiration: Timbale!
