Rattle wrote a Scottish Ballad Op. 26. Am I getting warm?

I think you'll find that the Op. 26 in question was written by Benjamin Britten.
Try Survivor on its own.

Eric Burdon, formerly of the Troggs (a '60s beat combo, m'lud) had a solo album called "Survivor", but this doesn't follow the shared surname beginning with S, does it?

well, I had to put that into google and he really is farmer who is black! Name of Wilfrid Emmanuel-Jones!! Farms in Devon. I must look out for his produce. Sorry to interrupt musings.
