"Lieder" is the L. Erl King is the third king. Look for two more kings in songs by another composer chiefly known for Lieder.

Don't really need to bother with the Erl King do we? Can't we get 3 for the price of 1 in Hugo Wolf's "Die Heiligen drei König" - the Three Kings from the Nativity?

I must go! Looking forward to that "M" from M-m-m-mercia who got "Lieder" as the answer!! We know you love setting 'em, mercs
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Right composer, but two different kings needed in different songs.

              he most certainly did not
besides, we haven't finished L yet by a long chalk (I hope I've got that strange expression correct)

Hugo Wolf? Der Konig bei der Kronung (No2 of "Sechs Lieder")?

Don't really know the Wolf lieder: are the Harpenspieler settings anything to do with David / Saul?

Fascinating in fact. It links to this:

Just noticed that one! Made me choke on my coffee!

I am imagining Mrs Flay upon her chaise longue with the mid-morning martini, while you bustle about getting the house spic and span for the daily...
