      Very true!
In the hope of moving things along: the events in question occurred in October 1737, December 1786 and November 1889.

well, Castor & Pollux premiered in October 1737
Strauss's Don Juan premiered in November 1889
The Marriage of Figaro had premiered in Vienna, June 1786 and in December opened in Prague ???
(all according to wikipedia, so probably not accurate)

..... and I'm guessing we might have twins in Gilbert & Sullivan's The Gondoliers which opened on 7/12/1889

oops, we want November, not December

Three operas, premiered in the years in question, each featuring twins.

oh, was it The Gondoliers? who are the twins? Marco & Giuseppe? was it November 1889?

Marco and Giuseppe are indeed twin brothers and gondolieri. You're right, the first performance was in November (the 7th) 1889.
