A very pleasant evening, with no problems observed by me, in spite of a record crowd, as it was a mild Saturday night. Typical scaremongering BBC headline, it seems - the text refers to most of the 22 injuries being 'minor' and the two serious ones being from falls. Not bad for 60000 people and six bonfires at what is certainly a rumbustious event. Yes, the Pope does still go up, together with Guy Fawkes himself and, at the Cliffe site, a very large Colonel Gadaffi, though I didn't see the conflagration as by that time I was on the way home to a traditional (for us) jacket tattie supper.
My convenience is a little cramped, so I'll set it here, please:
A character from Star Trek,
a habitual TV Art Critic,
A writer of children's book and Vanessa Redgrave's one time understudy
... all have what S in common?
