IIRC the Finale of Rachmaninov's FirstSymphony was used as the theme tune for BBC's Panorama in the '60s & '70s.
        Not this one either?

2 clues musical 1 sporty O not musical as such. None accounting!
Are the clues in order, i.e., the Panorama is sporty? I hope this is not about football There are 3 or 4 classical pieces that contain Panorama in the title though .....

Gosh!! Flounders about what to say about mens' plumbing, a delicate subject I think.

Edit: Now have to go offline, having got no further with Wallace and Smith apart from some soap and an airline. Wallace and Grommit and cheese would have been easier!!!

Harlequins? (Moyne and Brooker the "2 others"?)

                      "Panorama Concerto"????

"U" comes after the letter T ... Sorry the Letter T! (Capital important?): but then so does "V", and there is a "Letter V" Symphony.

Where this all leads (if anywhere!) escapes me, and what "O" connects them ...

I think I'll go and watch "Mastermind"!

                      Great Question, anton!

Oh dear sorry, has everyone come to a full stop?
I apologise perhaps another punctuation mark is a further clue?

We will be at it again tomorrow anton, don't fret, someone must know, but I am not coming up with anything, but that is the mark of a good question!

ferney, Harlequins - what are you on? Look to the Scottish stands I think?

That is a poorly-kept secret between me and the pharmacist.

Pourquoi (to evoke the auld lang syne alliance): the clue referred to "Wallace, Smith and two others" with anton's later "nudge"; "rugby ... but not Wales or France". Harlequins is a London team whose members include Luke Wallace, Sam Smith, Ugo Moyne and Chris Brooker. These four players scored the only Tries in Harlequins' 42-6 victory over Gloucester on 17th Sept.

(I'd like to thank IE8 and Mr Google for their assistance in uncovering this information. Sadly messrs IE8 & Google were totally useless in offering any suggestions as to how said information had anything to do with everything else in anton's puzzler!)

NOW he's talking about "punctuation marks"!

... I feel another trip to the pharmacy coming on.

the other 2, sadly non Harlequin, names are Aitkin and Macpherson and I was talking about the humble comma.
