I believe these might be Hillers
Ferdinand Hiller taught Bruch in Cologne and was the dedicatee of Schumann's Piano Concerto. Reger wrote a Variations & Fugue on a theme of (Johann Adam) Hiller. wiki assures me that these two Hillers were unrelated.

There are several Hillers. A fairly recent one is Lejaren Hiller - 1924-1994.
Another is Wilfried Hiller: 1941 -

Ferdinand: 1811-1885 - the one you mentioned.

Rinat Ibragimov is the Principal Double-Bassist of the LSO.
His daughter Alina Ibragimova studied at the Menuhin School and partnered Nicola Benedetti in the Bach double concerto at Menuhin's Memorial Service.
Assuming these details are relevant, I shall happily cede the next question to anyone clever enough to work out the link with Joseph Wright of Derby!
