Ah, Caliban - my lamentable ignorance!

I will conjecture the answer Lamentations, settings of which have been written by Toms Tallis and Victoria, Giovanni...Palestrina and Jan Dismas Zelenka.

      Bang. Nail. Head.

Talk about lamentable: as I was solving Ammy's "K" I was planning the next letter in the back of my mind: "J" for Jeremiah.... **DOH**

When I actually remembered the order of the alphabet I thought that the same work would do for "L"...

      Easy money.

      M is yours, Mr T.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Thank you, Mr C. Serendipitous indeed that your J was also your L. Add an "S" and we are into boyband territory. Bizarrely, said group have recently launched their own branded range of prophylactics. "Buy me and stop one" might well be their advertising slogan, though I for one would prefer some device to inhibit the release of any of JLS' 'musical' output...

        Anyway, a quick M:

Which M connects works by Beethoven, Schoenberg and Pink Floyd?

Interesting, the way your mind works I enjoyed that, especially having had to acquaint myself with one of that group in a legal context and subsequently gave a double-take to the same face and torso adorning a 3-pack in the local newsagents...

I shall cogitate upon your M.

A clue, perhaps? The M is not of itself musical.

I had a fleeting thought it might be Money but I don't see a Schoenberg connection

Full marks, Dave. And special credits to antongould for his opening gambit

though I guess it's Dave for N for his explication of the full suite.

Anton can have it if he wants - he did beat me to moon, though I swear I didn't see his answer first. 'Onest, Guv!

OK - perhaps a quick one.
