Mercia
Oswald von Wolkenstein is mentioned in the Early Travel thread on the Early Music board.
The Early Music Show, Early Music Late; Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and HIPP on Radio 3 and elsewhere
You still have three hours left to hear it.
It was also a subject of the EMS back in January http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s6rzd
In the CD, AS sings one of the songs in baritone!!

and Oswald von Wolkenstein (1376 - 1445) seems to have written some Geistliche und weltliche lieder, though I can't seem to find much info. about them
will Fenwicks be benefiting from your custom today?
Geistliche und weltliche Lieder which Anna, Mercia and Google translate know means Sacred and Secular was written by Oswald von Wolkenstein
James Oswald did indeed publish his works in the name of David Rizzio
and Mercia the Ska student knew something I didn't about the trumpeting Oswald. My much more pathetic link was that one of their "hits" was Lee Harvey Oswald.
So a superb answer much better than the question deserved.
Sadly Fenwicks no longer has a record department or I would have been off for the Skatalites Greatest Hits.
.................and I may have a day off today as Lady Telfer and daughter are heading further north.
So no P jokes Mercia just many, many congrats.

Mmmm
If not your answer we could carry on.
Prince Lichnowsky paid Beethoven an allowance of 600 florins p.a.
There's a song by Prince called Bob George, with some slightly dodgy words, which might be relevant.
There's a group called Pussycat Dolls - seem to have something to do with Prince ??? (which one) - not sure about the Nellie!
Worth a shot I thought.
