Meditation is a piece by Massenet, but it's not that. Getting warmer with that though. Don't go the chanting route.

We divided into two teams for the petanque, men v women and we narrowly won by one point! It's a really enjoyable game. Yes, it was Ralph Butler's grandson, nice chap

Not getting anywhere with the G. There is a green granite called Karelia or Carol Maria Giulini conducted an acclaimed La Mer, that is as far as inspiration takes me for the moment.

Maybe it's not Debussy's La Mer?

I accidentally came across a La Mer by someone called Paul Gilson earlier, but I don't think it's relevant.

No - don't think it's that one. Not Charles Trénet - La Mer either!

... no, I was just thinking of Robert Goodyear's excellent performance of the Karelia Suite...

Nothing (really) to do with this either ...

"The Penguin Cafe Orchestra's most famous piece may be "Telephone and Rubber Band", which is based around a tape loop of a UK telephone ringing tone intersected with an engaged tone, accompanied by the twanging of a rubber band. "

It is amazing what you can find, isn't it? I tried sticking in "La Mer" "Karelia" and "rubber", and when I put in "composer" as well I found Simon Jeffes - who was responsible for the Penguin Cafe Orchestra.

Sorry if you're not getting there yet.

Might actually not be Robert Goodyear - he's done Finlandia. http://www.classicalmidiconnection.com/twenty.html. I think you meant Gary Goldberg. Delightfully tasteless, isn't it?! Rhythmic subtlety - 1/10, Melody 2/10, Tonal variety 1/10 Dynamics 2/10 .... interest fades after a minute or so. Just think what it'd be like if all music were like this

Well, if it is Goodyear as vints suggests, no, I am not getting anywhere at all with that. As it'll soon be nearly 24 hours is a clue in order?
