I think the G may be Golden because:

the formal boundaries of La mer correspond exactly to the mathematical ratios called The Golden Section.

The blazon for the coat of arms of Karelia may be translated as follows: A golden crown above two duelling arms, the right guantleted arm holding a sword and the left mailed arm a scimitar, all silver except for golden hafts and gauntlet joint. Ducal coronet.

The Golden Wind Zen Order (GWZO) is an American Zen Buddhist Order with centers and groups, founded in 2004 by Zen Master Ji Bong Sonsa (Robert Moore, Phd).

Sorry, not golden either. What kind of activity do you think Zen people do? (Not riding motorbikes!)

I'm puzzled by your La Mer reasoning.

I can make the words chant, chants or chanter fit the clues but that's a C word not G

(unless you tell me the G word is Gregorian which is also a chant)
