Ok. The solo piece is for flute, and it's not by Miklos Rozsa!

Don't worry, you got the Neil Ardley bit OK. I was a bit stuck with the K word, and obvious ones like kiss have already gone. I couldn't see any way of getting kale or kelp or maybe even kris in!

regarding thinking of new words beginning with K, Q etc. I think we decided at some point that words could be repeated if they had new clues to them. some words have been used two or three times before. it's inevitably going to get more difficult over time.

And didn't a group called Kaleidoscope record something called Rainbows in 19whenever it was?

When I set puzzles I like to tell people
whether or not all elements are musical
whether or not all elements begin with the key letter.

Without that information I know that people will be swimming up the wrong creeks.

It's been very quite a round here this week. Has everyone been out and about in the summer rain, like me ?

The much-heralded sunshine and heat has not materialised here. Looks like it's going to a BBC case of what a wonderful summer we have had in Britain this year (usually just because it has been good in London).
