According to wikipedia, Charlie Bubbles is an American film. Bonnie and Clyde was made in 1967 but does not fit the description...

The bandleader's name doesn't begin with 'C', but shortly before the Second World War he played in a smaller group, the name of which did. You need to find the famous bandleader siblings first - and there haven't been that many - and then the name of the group associated with one of them.
The star of the film has left the building.
The musical also begins with 'C' (but not the linking 'C').

Yes, according to Wikipedia's list, Charlie Bubbles is an American film but if you click on it one of the first statements is that it is British: "Charlie Bubbles is a British film of 1967 starring Billie Whitelaw and Albert Finney, and also featuring a young Liza Minnelli"

However,
Bandleader might be Charlie Parker with the unrequired one being CharlES Mingus.
The film might be "Charlie Bubbles" made in 1967
The Musical could be "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", Act 2 of which ends with a reprise of "Happiness," and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown".
