Otto Wesendonck lent Wagner a cottage on his estate. So misguided.
Otto Mahler, "handed back his ticket" in 1895, shooting himself but no-one really knows why.
The brain surgery was performed on one of the greatest Beethoven conductors of all time, in my humble view: Otto Klemperer who conducted the Philharmonia atthe first concert I went to at the Festival Hall. Arrau played the Emperor Concerto and the concert ended with the Seveth Symphony. Superb, but so long ago. It was Oct/Nov 1957.
Good question, Mercia.
And so to bed at 01.22

O, what a beautiful morning, except that it is still quite windy and not very warm.
Which P
reached completion beside an Italian lake but was reduced from five acts to three
was a weaver whose bow was re-strung by the only capable man present,
was first performed in London with an overture by Ludwig and not Domenico?
