I didn't get clue 6672 either mercia. It just brought the Churchill insurance dog to mind, noting else. I am away now until much later in the afternoon and don't have a prepared K to offer.

God almighty, Vinteuil, where were you?! Someone's house???????

You are joking, aren't you??? (I was with Anna, sandwiching...)

PS: and Ofca strolls into the box and slots in an effortless goal

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I was just going to ask vinteuil the same question. My initial reaction to his lunch was <swoon emoticon followed by heavy thud ditto> Goodness, do you eat like that every day or do you, perhaps, own a restaurant and if so, what Region of France so we can all descend upon it! (We did enjoy our sandwiches though didn't we?)

Edit: And the wines were ..... ?

what's the washing powder bit, persil truffles?

I bet that all sounds dead common in English

You're probably right mercia, the first dish of peas, spring onions and lettuce doesn't sound so tempting in English does it? Actually, it is delicious.

there ought to be a culinary thread, "Dinners I have known" or something

not that I'd be able to contribute to it

I suppose we shouldn't expect any answers from Vints yet, it's only a quarter past 4 - he's probably not even reached the cheese course yet

                              (just jealous)
