I think you're on your own, there, Angle, but fascinating to see the workings of your mind!

Quite so! But no, you're cold there Angle, I'm afraid.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.

                  Checking in regularly, fear not...

                  Which three resolutions, Angle??

Three verging of four, that is :

                    Solitary - alone
                    Annoying insect - Solitary wasps
                    Broadmoor
                    Dartmoor
where one might be doing Solitary

And none had any musical connection, apart from The Wasps by RVW

                    I got rather carried away

No Angle, sorry - not Solitary.

No, it doesn't refer to unaccompanied music.

All elements have a musical relevance though connections with other arts too. The "S" word is purely a musical connection.

should I ignore "classical" music entirely?
Precisely the sort of association I had hoped would give a route in... Yes, mercia you have one of the four elements

No do not ignore 'classical' music. But ignore opera (in case you were wondering)

Oh I almost said, as well as opera, ignore Strauss...

But you are moving in the right direction, and indeed have stated part of another of the elements

I think I know this - it's a composer whom Caliban likes - but one I don't particularly care for.

I suspect the question is whether the insect is a Bedbug or a Gadfly...
