Oh no. Ducky, you're trying to be too clever by half! The title contains the word Cherry and he was the first British instrumentalist to achieve two number ones (just forget about George Washington for a moment) and the second was in 1955

Bingo! Yes, it was Cherry Pink (and the connection to George W. that I mentioned was Calvert's first hit Oh Mein Papa and young George saying "Father, I cannot ..........")

So, nicely solved and rubbers Deserves the D.

I don't think I would have got Eddie Calvert either if it wasn't for that nice Mr. Google

Whilst we await a devasting, delicious, delectable D.

I got a telephone call. "Hello, my name is Andrew from ******* Bank. You are due an annual review, can you confirm date of birth and last two letters of your mother's name"

                Which I duly did.

Andrew then says "Now, can I call you Anna instead of Ms. *******" i

I declined and he seemed a bit put out about that, then I said "I would prefer to do an review in my local branch if you don't mind" He then asked if I wished him to be verified as a bona fide ****** banker. I repeated I would rather do this in branch and he said "But I've got all your financial details in front of me - I can tell you the balance in all your accounts"

End of conversation. I dunno why, but that upset me that some bloke in a call centre presumes to call me Madam and is casting his eye over me financials.

He doesn't sound very bona to me, Anna. You did well to insist you met him in the 'rameau'

                  Here's a rather desultory D, I'm afraid:

What D links 10m, 11 symphonies, and a second album featuring a first chant?

I did a 1471 and it was a sales & marketing and I have blocked the number, quite honestly, last year, the same load of Bankers messed up me ISAs and I had to ask them for a compensatory payment. Oh Yes, I can sometimes be rather fierce! You wouldn't think that, would you?

Now, off to look at the D

Anna - no question - if you are the sort of client who has ISAs and who merits an annual review - it shd be face to face with a real person at a real Bank. I even get free cups of (real!) coffee and nice biccies!!

I should have spelt it out, the 'm' stands for million not metres.

No, it's music related as are the other two clues.
