        Don't forget yer tabernacles!

Yup - All three composers wrote Motets using the text Quam dilecta tabernacula ("what a nice caravan").

Shall we Race ahead - Flay was nice, but anton was first with the know-how, so perhaps he should take the baton?

I'll spare your blushes and give then a good home - a much better answer than my offering!

(And , not having previously encountered the word, I Googled [other search engines are available] "Quinault", and was first taken to the Native American community. Now, I knew that Ravel was an Apache, but ... )

A golden answer to your korny question, from the Hon. Mem. for West Cornwall...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
