        The Aspidistra - song composed by Rebecca Clark, who was born in Harrow;
        El Alamein - symphonic prelude composed by Ian Parrott, who attended Harrow School;
        Aladdin - a musical composed by Sandy Wilson, who also attended Harrow School.

                    All seem to be compositions by Joseph Joachim?

                          Well Robin Hood and a K makes one think at once of Mr Korngold... score, film, for the use of.

                          .

                          Edit (post-googling): ah! Erich Wolfgang also wrote songs entitled:

                          Vespers (1911)

                          Unvergänglichkeit ("Immortality"), Op. 27 (1933)

                          "...the isle is full of noises,
                          Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
                          Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                            As I think that must be right; and I am not around till early afternoon tomorrow; and I've thought of an L...

                            ... may I be so bold?

                            This L links Taverner with BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and a military brass-player on the Costa Brava, perhaps.
