Well, the J is definitely yours (and with Nobbs on ), but Leonard Rossiter must be turning in his grave! A little more coleslaw requires first.Numquam Satis!

Iolanta : last opera of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky ( libretto by Modest Tchaikovsky)
Iolanthe: opera Gilbert & Sullivan
The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin : written by David Nobbs who wanted Ronnie Barker to play the role of Perrin, whose middle name was Iolanthe because he was born during a performance of the Sullivan opera.
1 & 2 I knew, 3 was a search but jogged a memory.
May need a moment for a J !

I didn't know that bit about Ronnie Barker! My "Ronnie" was referring to Ronnie Hazlehurst, who wrote the Music for the TV series.

Sorry for the delay, hope it will be justified!
A J to link encounters with an opera of few notes and a storm.

Kat'a is based on a play called The Storm, I know that much...
And House of the Dead was based on a Dostoevsky novel called Notes from the House of the Dead I think.
