So the M word is not Malcolm?

Malcolm Williamson wrote Lament in Memory of Lord Mountbatten of Burma.

Are you looking for a Peter Rabbit work?

No to summarize to date we have:

          Malcom

Malcolm Williamson who wrote Inc mus for Watership Down.
George M[B]alcolm wrote Bach before the mast

Now need another Malcolm with a link to a late Lord - quite profoundly colourful!

Could it be Badger's Green that was turned into a film with music by Malcolm Arnold?

Please ignore this non-sequitur - I've been inattentive.

Malcolm Arnold but the brocks don't fix it! It's piece written for Deep Purple and the late Lord was their keyboards player.

What was the piece Cloughie? I found him conducting the Lord piece with his 6th Symphony......

Whatever, a clever and ever so elliptical set of clues. Indeed, a wise Owl.
