Stravinsky and Hendrix both arranged Star Spangled Banner. Also interesting that Igor outlived Jimi! Nothing to do with the set question unless... IoW, Monterey? - actually Woodstock (EDIT)

        Dudley Buck 1887 SSB Ov?

            Apologies, friends popped round.

So we have Igor's arresting variations, Hendrix's iconic over-amplified version, and Dudley Buck's Concert Variations of the Star-Spangled Banner (for organ)

It's Ed's - my goalpoaching was almost coincidental. Take it away.

That's too Kind , Cloughie, 'cos I couldn't have got the Hendrix component. I'll have a go - but , I'm afraid that publication will be delayed as I'm chairing an Access For All meeting this morning and must study AA's rules which I failed to do the last time I attempted a question.

This T word connects two operas by composers who share a name and possibly a clan, to another opera written to celebrate a coronation (Antonio was invited to compose it, but refused), as well as songs written by a Master of the Queen’s Music in praise of a Dictator.

Malcolm Williamson's 1981 Tribute to a hero seems to be subtitled "Josip Broz Tito"

Salieri turned down a commission for Leopold II's coronation

What a terrific start you two have made - do you want to complete the detailed picture?

But Vinteuil's suggestion, fine though it is (and there are dozens of similar "close fits") won't help to find the perfect answer as the Red Priest's clan didn't dabble in opera.

there's a La Clemenza di Tito by Giuseppe Scarlatti and a Tito Sempronio Gracco by Alessandro Scarlatti - wikipedia doesn't seem sure how these coves might be related
