    vaguely wondered if this was three people named Nicolas, but N is probably not a name at all - wikipedia says Johannes Martini was chorally innovatory which hasn't helped - is that a set of variations ? - was the Russian in enforced exile ?

            Well Nikolay Lvov published the tune Glory to the sun used in Beethoven op 59 but I thought we weren't looking for nicolas/nicolay/nikolay ?

            Or has a lost Thème Russe been found?

              ... simpler than that : Razumovsky asked Beethoven for quartets with Russian themes - which do feature in Razumovsky 1 and 2 - but not in Razumovsky 3.

              Now, op 59 number 3 is which Beethoven quartet, numerically...

                  Perhaps I am assuming a bit too much specialised knowledge of French harpsichord Ordres (or Suites) here .
