Hmm, this took me to the Riccis' opera Crispino e la Comare (The Cobbler and the Fairy), a dead end I fear.

But wiki gives a very short synopsis:

Place: Venice
Time: the 17th century

Crispino is a poor cobbler who cannot make ends meet. He is helped by a fairy who encourages him to start practising medicine, though he cannot even read.

He is successful with the fairy’s help but cannot bear prosperity gracefully and mistreats his wife. The fairy makes him aware of his faults and the cobbler’s family is happily reunited.

So you need to find a Botticelli and some snow with a Veni, Veni Emmanuel in them.

This would involve that piece I always put on while writing Christmas cards: the middle piece in Respighi's "Trittico Botticelliano" called Adoration of the Magi uses Veni Veni Emmanuel. Rather haunting actually.

Likewise the tune is used in U2's song called White as Snow... (thanks Wiki)
