I wish I had known about Michele Todini, it would have been a far better answer. My G is much crasser
About yesterday... We went for a BBQ with friends just north of Grantham. There was no wi-fi and no 3G for me. On the way home there were multiple closures on the A1. I tried to follow the signed diversions but they seemed to simply disappear. We went round in circles, then west then east. Eventually we went overland via Gainsborough. The whole journey took almost two and a half hours, rather than the usual one! The satnav was having apoplexy at us for leaving the A1. The sky flashed and crackled, the rain lashed down. Mrs Flay had that righteous "I told you we should have taken that turn five miles back" look as she seethed. We arrived after midnight...
Which is not a good way to start your 30th wedding anniversary
To cap it all I had bought her a romantic card some time ago and put it away for safe keeping... I can't remember where!
Let's hope the flowers arrive today!
Now back to AA? Did we establish why the Golden Gate?Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Happy Anniversary sorry to hear about your nightmare journey, I hate it when diversion signs disappear - hope for your sake the flowers arrive - might you have left the card in Canada ? when you said you had had a stressful evening I wondered if you might have been delivering babies
Golden Gate Bridge opened May 27, 1937, 75th anniversary May 27 2012
still no idea about the golden toasted harpsichordLast edited by mercia; 23-07-13, 07:51.

What colour is toast generally supposed to be? (Sorry about this...)
And for the 'Cisco bridge, I was looking for this commission: http://www.robkapilow.com/city-goldengate.shtml
But when I look further in to it, there were a few compositions competitively commissioned:
Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Sorry to hear about your woes, Flay.... *splutter*
Good to have you back, I was wondering... (as well as totally failing to engage profitably with recent AA puzzles).
Did the flowers arrive? Did the card surface?
In any case, I hope that you have had a reasonably celebratory day ... with a minimum of throttllng...

But after much thinking I remembered that I had left the card in my little Black Bag.... which is not at home.
Never mind, it will do for next year.... PerhapsPacta sunt servanda !!!
