Let's get this sunny day off to a high-speed start ...

What U links Jascha Horenstein, Shura Cherkassky and David Oistrakh?

But Ams, it's Wimbledon finals weekend and at the moment people are either a) watching ladies playing tennis without grunting or b) lounging in the garden with a bucket of Pimms!! Don't be so impatient, it's only been 8 hours!

True Anna but I'm trying to generate some pace here. I don't want to be hanging around on duty for weeks (no name, no pack drill as HS would say )

Well, it's a place then? So, is it like a pub quiz question? No classical pieces involved, just where they lived?
See how I am helping those shrinking violets to come forth?

Everso slightly more subtle than that, Anna - note the 'starter' reference

It's a remarkable place for great musicians - even more so than Port Talbot

is this arts & crafts Melisande a musical composition ? I've only found a painting that in any way fits the bill
is the organ book 19th/20th century ?
