Cheers hodge. That's the second time you've been less than gracious in passing the baton on to me ... but I'll forgive you

However I'm out very soon and all day at that so I'd be happy if someone else would take up the J.

              Thank you!

                    Blimey....

It's been quieter here than Fenwicks on a bank holiday...

I've had a couple of gos at this and got nowhere

It's presumably not one of the obvious Fantasies in C (e.g. Schubert: Fantasy in C major, Op. 17) as I've been unable to find any Czech connection.

                    Time for a clue, perchance?

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes I meant to refer in my post (just amended) to the Schubert: Fantasy in C major, Op. 17

So there is some sort of Czech connection with that piece?

                        A performer?

                                Quite...

To confirm: is it the Piano Fantasy? Or is it for instance Schubert's Schubert: Fantasie in C major for violin and piano, D934?

That might lead us to Josef Suk....

The violinist would have played the above piece

His grandfather of the same name wrote A Winter's Tale, Shakespeare Overture for orchestra, Op. 9

What was the other bit of the question...?

"...the isle is full of noises,
